Policies, procedures and systems
Every organisation needs to have safeguarding policies, procedures and systems in place that are appropriate to its context.
Although tailored to individual organisations, these should comply with appropriate LSCB (Local Safeguarding Children Board) procedures and any relevant government advice, information and guidance.
Think of some items that safeguarding policies, procedures and systems should cover.
Module 1, Unit 2 covers safeguarding policies, procedures and systems in more detail.
Make some notes in your Notepad, before using the Next item button to see some examples that you might have considered.
The range of policies, procedures and systems will cover:
Safer recruitment.
E-safety and acceptable use of ICT.
Prevention of violent extremism.
Bullying and harassment.
Risk assessment measures.
Code of professional conduct for staff.
