There are many possible features of a culture that has safeguarding as an integral part. These will vary from organisation to organisation.
Safer recruitment policies are one aspect that help create and maintain a safeguarding culture. They are explored in more depth in Module 3 of this programme.

Safeguarding featured prominently in all staff and learner inductions.
An acceptance that abuse could happen.
Clear procedures for reporting concerns and a commitment to take action.
