Safer Organisations

Summary

This unit has looked at how safeguarding can be embedded in an organisation to create a culture of vigilance. Policies, procedures and systems are supported by informing and involving staff, learners and other members of the organisation.

You have learnt about different roles and responsibilities, why training and development activities are important, and some barriers to action. You have also been encouraged to examine how the culture could be improved in your organisation.

The next unit considers how to involve learners in creating a culture of vigilance and a safer learning environment.
