Prevent for Leaders and Managers

Who needs to comply with the Prevent duty?

Staff, including sub-contracted and agency staff, board members and volunteers at:

  • FE Colleges
  • 6th form colleges
  • Independent Learning Providers
  • Independent Specialist Colleges
  • Adult and Community Learning
  • Private colleges.*

*private further education institutions which are not in receipt of public funding who may be on the UK Register of Learning Providers and have similar characteristics to those on the register. We define these as institutions that have students who are undertaking courses in preparation for examinations that either receive public funding or are regulated by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation or the Welsh Government.
