Flexibility in the safer recruitment process
As explored on the previous screen, there is some flexibility in the order of the stages of the recruitment process. There are certain stages that have to be done in order - for instance, a shortlist must be compiled before candidates can be invited to interview - but some organisations may find it more practical to take up references after conducting interviews.
Although some organisations may find it more practical to take up references after interviews have taken place, ideally this should be done before.
Whatever the order decided upon by your organisation, it is important that each stage is carefully planned with safer recruitment in mind.
