This module focuses on:

• Why safer recruitment is important.
• How recruitment can be made safer.
• How to deter unsuitable applicants from applying.
• How to avoid appointing unsuitable applicants.
• Regulated activities, pre-employment checks and induction.

While safer recruitment policies can never completely prevent unsuitable candidates from working with young people and adults, they can help deter them from applying.
