Introduction

This unit looks specifically at the safeguarding responsibilities of work based learning (WBL) providers, and how the safety of learners can be maintained when working on-site as part of a work-based learning programme. This unit should not be viewed in isolation, as other safeguarding and safer recruitment information in this course is relevant to WBL.

By the end of this unit, you will be able to:

  • Describe the importance of safeguarding in the work based learning context.
  • Explain how safeguarding of learners across various partners can be effectively managed.
  • Describe effective methods of communication between partners.
