All staff should have an understanding of the factors that make people vulnerable to being drawn into extremism and to challenge extremist ideas which are used by terrorist groups and can purport to justify terrorism.

All staff should understand what action to take in response to any concern that a student is vulnerable to exploitation by extremists.

All staff should also understand the process and policies in place when vulnerability has been identified, know when to make referrals to the Safeguarding officer and where to get advice and support.

All staff should know who is a clear point of contact for anyone who has a concern about an individual vulnerable to exploitation by extremists in your organisation.
